Philly, Emotionally Strong

Updated: Jul 18, 2020

Partnered with the DBHIDS from the City of Philadelphia, we collected the voices that help us learn the needs and available services of our communities.

Through 8 focus groups, we collected the information about the addiction and mental health issues in the local areas and suggestions about how to better serve our communities.

We are sad to see mental and behavioral issues in our communities. Some people choose to walk away from it. While we want to know more about it and share the resources to help people in need.

Have you ever seen the addiction and mental health issues in your neighborhood?

How to describe the behavioral issues (drug, alcohol, gambling and etc) that harm the families?

What`s the prevalent mental health disorders (depression, bipolar, hallucination and etc) in your communities?

How can we fix the problem? Any resources, any barriers for people to get access to help?

What recommendations do you want to make to the City?

I know all above questions may be sensitive to some of you. Thanks to our friendly participants from different areas, we were able to know more about this topic and wrote a through report to the Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services at the City of Philadelphia.

What`s more?
