Online Conference - Facing COVID-19 with Wellness and Resilience

On May 7th we had our IBelong event: "Facing COVID-19 with Wellness and Resilience". Where we talked about important topics such as Children’s Mental Health, Wellness for Immigrants, and resilience in COVID-

19 time.

We had the following speakers,

Nora Telles - Outpatient Therapist at Latino Program - COMHAR.

COMHAR offers outpatient evaluation and counseling for children, adults, and families whose primary language is Spanish. Services include psychiatric evaluation, medication management, family therapy, individual and group therapy for children.

Rong Sorn, Director of Immigrants/Refugee Affairs and Language Access Services - DBHIDS.

DBHIDS: This Unit is to improve the total wellness of immigrant and refugee communities through a holistic community-based engagement and service delivery approach.

Caitlin O’Brien , Director of Learning & Community Impact - SCATTERGOOD FOUNDATION

ScatterGOOD Foundation: foundation committed to raising its voice to improve the system through which behavioral healthcare is delivered in the Philadelphia region.

We gathered information and resources and after this wonderful event, we decided to create a zine as part of our Campaign “Wellness and Resilience for Uncertain Times" to share those useful resources with immigrants and nonimmigrants.
